CHAN Sin-wai, professor and chairman of the Department of Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, is also director of the Master of Arts in Computer-aided Translation Programme (CUHK) and director of the Centre for Translation Technology (CUHK). His research interests are computer (and computer-aided) translation, bilingual lexicography, and Chinese-English translation. He has authored, edited, compiled, revised, and translated over thirty-four books in forty- four volumes. His publications include An Encyclopaedia of Translation (coedited with David Pollard, 1995/2001), Longman Dictionary of English Language and Culture, English-Chinese (2003), Translation and Bilingual Dictionaries (2004), A Dictionary of Translation Technology (2004), and A Chinese-English Dictionary of the Human Body (2011).
