Nicholas Y. H. Wong (王學權) is Assistant Professor in the School of Chinese at The University of Hong Kong. He teaches Chinese-English translation and writes on labor, language, anti-colonialism, and capitalism in Chinese writing from the Malay world. As a Brill Fellow at the Scaliger Institute, Leiden University, he did archival research on “The Labor Question in Translation: Dutch Sinology and Chinese Miners in the East Indies.” His English translations include Huang Chong-kai’s “Ramón, Adolfo, Ernesto, and Che” (2021, Renditions 96) and Ling Yu’s poetry collection, Daughters, forthcoming from Balestier Press. As Zhou Sivan, he has published three poetry chapbooks.
