Dong Dahui, Ph.D. an NAATI Accredited Professional Translator and Interpreter and a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Translation and Interpretation Studies, Chang Jung Christian University, Taiwan. He worked as a translator and interpreter in Australia and New Zealand between 1998 and 2004 before being appointed to the current position. He teaches translation, interpreting (sight translation and consecutive interpreting), and computer-aided translation. His research interests include translation competence in the second language, textual competence assessment, tense and aspect choices, article choices, and translation norms. His research is corpus-based, employing quantitative methods. His Chinese-English translation corpora are under constant construction.
