About the author(s):

Min Zhou (周閩) holds a PhD in translation studies with a focus on translation’s impact on the interplay between lyricism and narrativity in classical Chinese lyric poetry. She also holds an MPhil in translation, studying the Chinese renditions of the ineffable beauty of Shakespeare’s sonnets. Her main research interests center on literary theory (aesthetic illusion, cognitive narratology and new formalism) and its application in translation studies, literariness (particularly lyricism and narrativity) in translation, and intermediality studies. She is particularly interested in exploring new approaches and concepts for the reimagination and revitalization of classic literature in translation studies.
