Zhang Baohong received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in translation studies from Nankai University, China. He is currently a professor of English for the programme of M.A. in literary translation studies at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). Prior to coming to GDUFS in 2007, he taught at Foreign Languages College, China University of Geosciences. He is Council Member of the China Association for English-Chinese Comparative Studies and Expert Member of the Translators Association of China. His research interests include literary translation studies and comparative studies of English and Chinese poetry. He has published a book on Chinese-English poetry translation and nearly 30 academic papers in translation studies, as well as an English translation of a work of Chinese literature.
