Huiwen Shi is a PhD candidate at the School of English, the University of Hong Kong, working on contemporary poetry and poetics. During her current studies, she has delivered research papers at National University of Ireland (2014) and Harvard University (2016). In summer 2015, she was also awarded a full scholarship to attend the School of Criticism and Theory’s intensive course at Cornell University. Huiwen also holds an MA in Chinese literature, as her ambition is to become a bilingual and bicultural educator and writer. She writes theater and book reviews, translates and writes poems in her spare time.
