Lingjie Ji (季凌婕) is an assistant professor in the Department of Translation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include translation history and generally the literary and knowledge exchange between China and the Anglophone world during the nineteenth century. Her current research projects focus on the British sinologists’ writings and translations of Chinese literature, investigating the interplay between literary translation, knowledge of Chinese literature, and the historical context of imperialism in China.
